About Us

AMAL, which stands for The Association of Muslim Accountants and Lawyers, is an organisation based in South Africa. It was founded in 1984 with the aim of empowering Muslim professionals in the fields of accounting and law. The organisation has a rich history of providing a platform for Muslim professionals to network, share knowledge, and engage in community service. AMAL has been instrumental in promoting the interests of Muslim professionals in South Africa and has played a key role in the development of the Muslim community in the country. In its early years, AMAL hosted the first ever Islamic Economics Conference in South Africa.
