The Association of Muslim Accountants and Lawyers (AMAL) held its 41st AGM in Durban today. As its Executive Secretary, I presented a detailed report our activities for the past year/s including reflections on the great role the Association plays in society and the significant contributions it has made to uplift our communities. Our Annual NPO PBO workshop which benefits this underserved sector continues to rank amongst one of our highlights for the year. The Association realises that it has a greater strategic role to play in building our nation by sharing of its collective experience and wisdom to address some of our country’s challenges . Membership of the Association costs just R300 per annum and membership is open to professionals from all religions, races, culture etc.
